"How long will my kitchen be out of action?" is one of the first questions homeowners ask. The honest answer depends on the size of the job and the finishes, but here is a realistic timeline for a custom kitchen.
Design and quote — the same week
After your free consultation we field-measure and build a 3-D design of your real kitchen. Most homeowners have a photoreal design and an itemized written quote within the same week.
Manufacturing — two to four weeks
Once you approve the design, your cupboards are built to measure in our workshop from certified board. Because everything is custom, this is where most of the time goes — typically two to four weeks depending on the size of the kitchen and your chosen finishes.
Installation — a few days
Our own crews handle the install: cabinetry hung and levelled, countertops templated and fitted, doors and drawers aligned, and everything sealed and detailed. For most kitchens the on-site install runs a few days to a week.
What can affect the timeline
Stone countertops add a short templating-and-fabrication window after the cabinets are in. Structural changes, plumbing or electrical moves, and imported finishes can extend things. We flag all of this in your quote so there are no surprises.
The short version
From first consultation to finished kitchen, a typical custom renovation runs around four to six weeks. Book your free design consultation in Nelspruit or Mbombela and we will give you a realistic timeline for your specific project.
